Please join us for Chinese Corner on December 7, 2019. The Chinese music teachers will introduce and demonstrate a fusion style of Chinese and Western music. The Chinese Corner will feature Xingjun Yi on Er’hu, Kaining Xiao on clarinet, Xiaohan Zhang on Chinese folk song singing.

Across Bridge Rice Noodle is the special food in the south part of China. It has become popular in Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan Province 5o years ago with a long history. Across Bridge Rice Noodle contains four parts, one part is the soup with the hot oil covered; the second part is seasonings, including chili oil, MSG, pepper and salt; the third part contains sliced pork, chicken breast, sliced fish, cooked pork loin, salmon fillet and the vegetables, such as pea tip, chives, ginger, green onion, Tofu skin and parsley; the last part is main food, hot rice noodle. You can enjoy the delicious and special food by putting the last three parts into hot soup.

Chinese word of the week is “无所谓” (wú suǒ wèi), a catchword meaning “I don’t care” or “It doesn’t matter”. It is often used to show that the speaker is disinterested in something.
