You may be in the first generation of your family to graduate with a four-year college degree, but at PSU you are not alone. We are a First-Gen Forward institution, with more than one-third of our students being first-generation. We not only celebrate our first-generation students, we have built an entire campus community to support them.

The Division of Global Diversity & Inclusion (GDI) is excited to welcome Dr. Lindsay Romasanta (she/her/siya) as Assistant Vice President of Global Diversity & Inclusion, joined our team on July 12th. Dr. Romasanta brings to this position over a decade of extensive experience and progressive leadership to advance student success efforts, with a focus on underrepresented populations. She most recently served as the Director of Student Success Programs at UC San Diego. She also serves as the inaugural co-editor of NASPA's Journal of First-Generation Student Success. Lindsay will oversee with the Disability Resource Center, Native American Student and Community Center, the Veterans Resource Center, and Student Legal Services, partnering with Perla Pinedo, who oversees the Cultural Resource Centers, Multicultural Retention Services, TRIO Student Support Services and TRIO Pre-College Programs. Lindsay will also be a critical partner with GDI Vice President Ame Lambert in advancing our institutional equity and justice efforts.
