Our friends with the Casco Bay Chapter of Ducks Unlimited are looking for some help filling tables at their event Saturday! The Southern Maine Chapter of RGS will pay for half the table if we can fill it with 8 people! That makes $35 a ticket and goes towards a great cause! I will also throw in an RGS glass for everyonee at the table!

We want to help support all wildlife in Maine! Ducks are just as important as the upland birds! Let’s help fill up this banquet!

Woodcock Walk at Major Gregory Sanborn Wildlife Management Area - Fryeburg Join an MDIFW wildlife biologist for an evening walk and learn about the American woodcock and how the land is managed for wildlife.

Ryan is the best! We use him for all our taxidermy needs! The grouse and waterfowl he has done for us are amazing!

I mount quite a few woodcock, but I’m pretty proud of this one…. It had a hole in it the size of a golf ball and about 8-10 small holes as well…. Normally I’d say no and trash it but it didn’t have any pin feathers so I stuck with it…😅. And side note, it’s also missing its entire left group of scaps🤷🏼‍♂️

Got out and after some birds this season so far! Lots of woodcock stuck around until late into October in Northern Maine. Grouse were harder to come by with out a loyal pup!
