Our summer visual arts residency artist is Yumiko Noriyuki.
Yumiko Noriyuki is a multi-medium artist based in Eugene, Oregon using photography to document both the struggles and the gifts of being multicultural. This project collects many of Noriyuki’s favorite black-and-white images, largely shot on 120 and 35mm film—portraits of friends and loved ones, and photographs of places that have left a lasting imprint. With a focus on intimacy and lived experience, the work celebrates community, memory, and belonging. Many of these photos were taken at the Amache Concentration Camp in Colorado where their grandmother, Yumiko was interned for many years of her childhood.
You can see Yumiko’s work before all of our live performance residencies in July and August.

Introducing our second residency artist…
MSM by Dylan Hankins, running August 13th - 15th at 7:30pm.
Did you hear that they closed down the locker room sauna? Yeah. I guess there was too much cruising going on. Isn’t that crazy? Turns out what seemed like just a normal gym locker room was actually a sociopolitical war zone, a clandestine battle between perversion and respectability, between homosexuality and heterosexuality, between love and betrayal. Mistaken identities. Missed connections. Comedy. Circle Jerks. High drama! So, they’ve decided to just shut it all down. Now what are all the cruisers gonna do?
From the madcap mind that brought you Sprawl, Faena, and Alarums and Excursions comes a new erotic satire: M.S.M.
