I've wanted to paint birds since I was a young lad but was intimidated by their shape. I dont know why they be weird. That tis all, enjoy. ✨️

It's been 4 years since I've picked up a paintbrush and I forgot the joy it brings me. Acrylic is a fickle creature but one I'm happy to tussle with.

This project is a 3 painting series of critters and their fae companions. Nature, the weird and unruly are one of my biggest inspirations.
[That and I watched Watership Down at an early age and the rabbits stuck with me]

This piece is a great example of trust the process and not knowing how your own artwork is going to turn out. At every stage it changed in ways I didn’t even expect. There’s some metaphor about moths and cocoons in there -
