This program features music obtained from the fabulous Multnomah County library system (voted one of the top five in the country). Featured artists include Keith Jarrett, Mary Halvorson, Andrew Cyrille and Wadada Leo Smith, Jon Hassell, Anouar Brahem, Wu Wei, Carolyn Yarnell, William Bolcom (and his ragtime piano!) the Kronos Quartet, David Bowie, and the soundtrack to Twin Peaks.

RADIO: Rahsaan Roland Kirk: The Sightless Visionary
A sheer musical force of nature, Kirk played numerous instruments (often at the same time), composed wild original music, sang, told stories, and composed the most monumental Saxophone Concerto you’ve ever heard in your life. “I’m not blind,” said Kirk, “I’m just sightless.” You’ll hear the difference on this show.
