‼️‼️‼️Portland Parks & Recreation Free Lunch + Play Program Summer 2026‼️‼️‼️

The Portland Parks & Recreation Free Program provides free meals, drop-in games, crafts, and recreational activities for youth ages 18 and under.

Program Dates: Monday, June 22 through Friday, August 21, 2026

***Closures: No program on Friday, July 3, 2026 (Independence Day observed)***

Daily Recreation Hours: Drop-in activities generally run Monday–Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Federal Requirements: Youth must be physically present on-site to receive food, and all meals must be eaten within designated park area.

MOBILE LUNCH + PLAY SCHEDULE

The Mobile program sends vans to apartment complexes in high-density areas of East Portland. Staff bring lunches and mobile activities directly to the complexes between 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM on designated days.

2026 Free Movie Highlights
Movies are projected onto giant inflatable screens and begin at dusk across various neighborhood parks. Key titles featured on the 2026 calendar include:

■ A Minecraft Movie
■ Elio (Presented with Spanish subtitles)
■ Zootopia 2

Program Guidelines & Dietary Policy Nutrition Rules: Meals adhere strictly to USDA Federal Lunch Program regulations. Leftover food cannot be sent home but is collected and donated to local non-profit partners

No Thank You Table: Sites utilize a "no thank you table" where kids can leave unopened, non-perishable parts of their lunches they do not want, allowing other hungry youth to select extra items during the meal window

Group Notice: Groups bringing 10 or more children to a site should notify the Summer Free For All supervisor at 503-729-0332 at least five business days in advance to ensure the catering kitchen prepares adequate meal counts
