273. Just a bird. I've been drawing a lot of birds lately. Maybe you should draw a bird today. :) I've been doing most my of daily practice of late in pen and ink. This one with Carbon Black ink and wash over an underdrawing done in a diluted Kiowa Pecan from . I have a general, somewhat irrational aversion towards underdrawings, so I've been forcing myself to do more of them lately, and I am finding myself warming to them. After the sketch, I wished I had done a bit more with the color on the page, so tested a few ideas for next time in photoshop. Swipe for the original sketch. More birds and things soon. 272. Treehouses. I've been having a lot of fun with ink lately. Dip pens, fountain pens, multiliners, and ink washes. The last few days I've been drawing treehouses. Seems like the type of thing I'd do. :) I hope you're all having a great week. Happy Friday, my friends.

268. Field Tower. A bit of morning practice from a week or so ago. Just a little tower, hanging out in a field. :) This initially started as a little exercise to translate an imagined elevation into perspective, then I tried translating the speedpainting into a more graphic illustrative style, which I wasn't a huge fan of, and then I played around with just a bit of color.
