Today, I saw a very brave post from a music artist who was stepping away from music to focus on his mental health, which was suffering. For me, personally, this was especially inspiring. As men, and women too, when it comes to our mental health, we hide in the shadows until often times, it’s too late. Life can be very hard. Bad stuff happens to good people… Depression and anxiety is real, it’s debilitating, and sadly, it’s also ignored. I admire those who have the courage to start the conversation and raise awareness to a truly sad situation.

New release out today! I wrote this song a few years ago. I was going through a really rough time and I wrote lots of songs about that time… I either held off or never released them because they were just too personal. I also didn’t want to relive those sad moments, as I was touring at the time and would have had to sing them every night. As a songwriter, singing the songs I write takes me back to the exact feeling of the original moment. I decided to release them now because somewhere out there, somebody may need to hear it. If my sad moment of words can help anyone out there relate, or recognize a feeling they’re struggling with, that’s what this is all about. A connection.
