H**pies!
These do not suck. π Theyβre like a mix of puppy chow and rice crispy treats. I found these on βs blog a year ago and they remain a family fave.
Full of h**p hearts + rice crispies, maple syrup, peanut or almond butter, vanilla & melted chocolate chips. Easy.
H**p seeds, also called h**p hearts come from the Cannabis sativa plant. They are fantastic for the body ::
β₯οΈ Heart healthy. They contain high levels of arginine, an amino acid that produces nitric oxide. This gas relaxes and dilates blood vessels, lowering blood pressure & reducing heart disease risk.
3οΈβ£&6οΈβ£ Rich in fatty acids. They have a balance of omega-3s and omega-6s. Studies have shown our immune system depends on this balance. These healthy fats also positively impact our skin. They help acne-prone skin and when people with eczema were given h**p seed oil internally, their blood levels of essential fatty acids improved.
π§π½ββοΈ High in protein. 30g of h**p seeds = 2-3 Tbs. = 11g of plant-based protein. 30g of h**p seeds and 30g of beef and lamb both contain about the same amount of protein. They contain every amino acid & are considered a complete protein. ππ½π±
π₯ Anti-inflammatory. H**p seeds contain gamma-linolenic acid, which reduces inflammation in the body.
We get the big bag of h**p seeds from Costco & find ways to get them into our diet as much as possible. βπ½Tip: sprinkle them on salads, cereal, oatmeal, smoothie bowls/smoothies, great blended into salad dressings. And def make this recipe. π€€ H**pies! π₯π« @ Portland, Oregon
