After much deliberation I’ve decided to cancel the rest of the Wordlights shows scheduled this year. It has been a good run and I want to extend a thank you to all those who participated. The show is simply too expensive to continue producing both in money and effort required.

Join us on January 24th to enjoy the poetry of our three featured poets and celebrate three books released at the end of 2022. Our second feature poet is Sam Rose Preminger.
Sam Rose Preminger is a trans-nonbinary, Jewish writer and publisher. Having completed an MFA at Pacific University, they now serve as the Editor-in-Chief of NAILED Magazine, co-founder of Lightship Press, and regularly work one-on-one with poets as an editor and advisor. Their debut collection, Cosmological Horizons, was released from Kelsay Books in Summer 2022 and a second collection, Our Streets, will be released Fall 2022. They live in Portland, OR, where they’ve acquired too many house plants.

Wordlights Saturday Poetry Evenings
Wordlights is a weekly poetry evening at The Rocking Frog Cafe (located at 2511 SE Belmont St in Portland, Oregon) hosted by Igor Brezhnev and presented by NovaPDX. It is a space for appreciating and supporting poetry in its many forms. You can find more information about us at wordlightspoetry.com. Currently, instead of our live shows, we are broadcasting Wordlights Hour, an internet radio show on ShadyPinesRadio.com every Saturday from 6 to 7PM. You can listen to previous shows on our website at wordlightspoetry.com/whats-new.
To submit your poetry to the radio show, email an audio recording to [email protected]. Please make the recording up to 7 mins, introduce yourself, tell listeners where to find your work online and any message you want to share, and, of course your poems. Give about 5 seconds of silence at the start and at the end of the recording.
