Indigo Proof Denim Repair

When I received the application for these jeans, I knew that it would be a highly emotional and cathartic repair, and that I HAD to take them on. Cut off by EMS in a life-saving procedure, these were only scraps of denim held together literally by a thread. Spent many hours over 2-ish days to bring them back from scrap through my own life-saving procedure, and wow, what an incredible experience! I’ve done a couple repairs similar to this in the past, but this one was definitely the largest in surface area I’ve ever worked on. I also incorporated the shirt that was cut at the time and created a constellation from the star print to commemorate the transformation - it felt like the perfect way to infuse the jeans with a guiding energy as they are reborn to the owner with a new lease on life. This is the kind of stuff that makes me feel alive ⚡️💙
