Portland has transportation options in addition to renting a car for your entire stay. The Brooklyn Cottage is located only one block from a from a TriMet light rail stop, making access to downtown and the airport easy without having to deal with any parking hassle. Reach Now is a new car sharing company that has cars available at the Portland Airport. Check it out at https://reachnow.com/en/airport/. We also use Car2go quite a bit for a quick zip between destinations in close in areas, but not to the airport.
