Team Northwest was proud to be part of an official Guinness World Record attempt at the 2026 Transplant Games, and we’re thrilled to share that it was a success!

A total of 966 living donors and transplant recipients gathered together, setting a new record for the most living donors and recipients in one place.

This incredible moment was a powerful celebration of the lives transformed through donation and transplantation. Each person in that record-breaking crowd represents a story of generosity, hope, resilience, and second chances.

Congratulations to everyone who participated in this historic achievement. We are honored that TeamNorthwest was part of it!

What began as a social media post became a life-changing gift, and a lifelong friendship.

Tiffany was diagnosed with a rare liver disease while still in high school. Over the years, her condition continued to progress until her medical team recommended a living liver transplant as her best option.

When Tiffany shared her story online, a family friend named Nora reached out and offered to be evaluated as a living donor. Remarkably, they were a match.

In September 2025, both Tiffany and Nora underwent surgery. While both faced complications during recovery, they are doing well today, and their bond has only grown stronger.

“Here we are in 2026… I am able to see another birthday. I am forever grateful to my donor, my ‘Organ Buddy.’ We have gotten so close through this whole process. It seems we’re more like family.”

Tiffany says the transplant experience changed the way she sees life, helping her focus on what truly matters and let go of what doesn’t.

Stories like Tiffany and Nora’s remind us of the extraordinary impact of living donation, and how one act of generosity can create hope, healing, and connections that last a lifetime.
