POA Cafe

Our Story

The name "Poa" means "Everything is cool" in Swahili. It’s the response to a warm greeting with close friends, inspired by a 2013 volunteer trip to Tanzania, Africa and the motto “it takes a village”. Upon return, we recognized the need for more community and family- centric establishments in our area, and a casual, healthy foods cafe seemed like the perfect platform to do so. Poa Cafe opened doors in early 2014, serving good clean food, coffee and smoothies. Over the years, we have expanded to include a back patio bar area, hosting pop-ups and events.
