This pic captures a feeling of utter gratitude I was feeling in this moment. We know that practices of gratitude contribute to greater well being…one way I think about it is that every time we pause and notice and/or express gratitude, we are contributing to our emotional bank account... so that when s**t hits the fan, we have something to draw from. So, in essence, this explosive gratitude (pictured about) lives in my cells so I know I can pull from it at a later date. Furthermore, once we cultivate gratitude as a baseline way of walking through the world, it can exist right up alongside lots of other thoughts and feelings. But it helps those thoughts and feelings remain more buoyant and fluid instead of getting lodged or stuck or spiraling downwards. Join me tomorrow eve for Emerge - Building Gratitude class. Got family in town? Bring ‘em and start your holiday week feeling resourced and capacious! Emerge Monday at 5:30

I call this one perfect alignment. Not because my headstand looks rad (but it does right!) but because my body felt in perfect alignment in this moment….after an epic sunset swim with a rad group of humans in the gentle waves of Costa Rica. I love how nature demonstrates balance and alignment. This sunset and light and shadow just invites play and freedom (thus the headstand). I will continue to channel this Costa Rica bliss and the magic of at Emerge tomorrow eve at 5:30 so don’t miss it!!!

I start every day with movement. This helps me hold the space as I sit with clients, because my energy is fluid, rather than stagnant. It is vital for my ability to be present, centered, and available. Today I had an early therapy session, which meant I didn’t get my morning movement. Modification - 30 minute yoga class in my office during my break. Stretching, and being upside down allows me shake out the morning and prep for the afternoon. Let this be your reminder to stand up and shake off the stress or lie down and stretch it out. Getting your energy flowing throughout your day will support you in whatever you are doing to show up more fully and authentically. There is so much stress and heaviness in the world right now. Take care to keep it flowing so we can be gentle with ourselves and each other. We need that right now more than ever.
