Trip report from Georgann: A crew of 11 explored a 6.2 mile loop that follows the rim of a volcanic ring ring in Pawtuckaway SP. This hike had a variety of features: A cellar hole from a 1790 homestead with the family cemetery, glacial erratics with large boulder field, marsh with evidence of active beavers and a climbable fire tower. Spring flowers included Rock Harlequin and Red Columbine and lucky to have more than one sighting of hummingbirds.

MOAC nature lovers had a nice, slow paced exploratory walk at Warren Woods Preserve in Scarborough. We saw cranberries, teaberries and learned the difference between hemlock, spruce and balsam fir. Such a nice, ecologically diverse area on a beautiful day! Thank you Scarborough Land Trust
