The ecollar is my favorite tool, it is a tool that opens the door to freedom, builds clear communication, and when used properly removes conflict between handler and dog💡

It also is one of the most misunderstood and misused tools⚠️

Ecollar training is delicate and takes time to condition. It is not a tool you can throw on and expect your dog to be loose and ready for the world with on day one. The ecollar should be slowly introduced using positive reinforcement, not slapped on turned on high, stimming the dog every time they do something you don’t like.

Most days with my own dogs I don't touch the buttons at all. And that's how it should be with trained, proofed dogs. But if something happens - my dog sees a squirrel or other prey or whatever else, I have the e-collar there as a back up, a seatbelt. And the peace of mind that comes with that is unmatched🥽
