Spending the last day of the year slowly putting pieces together. Thinking about all the pieces this year handed me, some that fit right away, some I’m still holding onto.

Building this candle business taught me patience, trust, and how much beauty lives in the unfinished. And I’m ending the year grateful for the process, even when the picture isn’t fully clear yet.

Hi, I’m Mel — the maker behind Homestead + House and the new owner of this beautiful brand.

I began this next chapter last year and have been thoughtfully adding my own touch, creating new scents and products while honoring the values and care Homestead + House was built on. Everything you see here is made by hand, in small batches, and I’m so grateful to continue this story with you.
