The Center for Parental Leave Leadership's founder and CEO, Dr. Amy Beacom, will be speaking at the DMEC Annual Conference in August. Dr. Beacom will be speaking about "The 90-Day Retention Trap: Make Managers Your Leave Strategy."

If you've ever experienced a situation where the paperwork was perfect, the leave was compliant, the employee returned on schedule — but three months (or so) later, the employee resigned — you have run into the 90-Day Retention Trap.

HR cannot be in the room for the hundreds of micro-transitions that occur across the three phases of leave: Preparing, During, and Returning. But managers are already there and need training and empowerment to know what to do.
