Situated at the entrance to Camden Harbor in the Penobscot Bay, Curtis Island Lighthouse is one of the most scenic lighthouses in Maine. Its red roof and white body contrast sharply against the green grass of the island and the blue water in the distance.

Catching a glimpse of the Curtis Island lighthouse captures the essence of Maine with the island’s rocky shore and nautical setting.

This is another lighthouse best seen from the air. Which angle is your favorite?

Spent a few extra days around Memorial Day to visit Acadia National Park and the Coastal towns to do some photography. With a focus on Lighthouses, Mother Nature didn't disappoint with just the right amount of stormy skies and spectacular sunrises and sunsets.

On the 1st day, I captured the highlight of my trip. Nubble Lighthouse in York, sits on a tiny island and sky couldn't have been better after a little rain.

This image wouldn't be possible without a drone and the majority of the images I will be posting came to it.

There are no shortage of waterfalls, rivers, streams and Ocean when visiting Olympic National Park. Here are a few of my favorite, some with several different angles. What is your favorite? Easier getting up for sunrises on the west coast, when you try to stay on east coast time! 🤪

My daughter, Rachel, and I just completed our 2nd annual National Park trip! This year we went to Olympic National Park in the Pacific Northwest. The Park sprawls across several different ecosystems, from the dramatic peaks of the Olympic Mountains, old-growth forests and all the way to the Pacific Ocean. In addition to hiking an average of 9 miles a day, I was able to slip in a few images. 😜 First in the series is the temperate rainforest. Receiving upwards of 12 feet of rain annually, it is overwhelmingly beautiful and almost fantasy like. It doesn't matter if you do short trails like the Hall of Mosses, Ancient Groves Nature Trail or longer ones like the Hoh River trail, everywhere you look was truly amazing. Hope you enjoy!

It doesn't matter what time of the year you visit Ricketts Glen State Park, the waterfall views are spectacular! Here are a few of my favorites. Ricketts Glen State Park Official DCNR

Here is an example of why you don't leave early! When I arrived at this location, it was still raining with 30% chance at sunset. Just when I thought that it would be a dud...this happened! For about 5 minutes there was a full rainbow and then it was gone!

The next day I went back to capture a few other looks. Because this Mountain range faces West, the warm sunset color really makes them pop.

The church is the Elvis Presley Memorial Chapel which was used when he appeared in the 1969 movie Charro.

Although you always see the pristine pictures, I thought I would end by including a little behind the scenes, which were directly behind me.
