This week, members of our Mental Health Response Team (MHRT) attended the Northwest Regional Crisis Intervention Training Conference in Spokane, Washington. While there, the MHRT duo of Deputy Guzman and Clinician JD were recognized for their outstanding contributions to crisis intervention, earning regional honors:
🏆 Deputy Guzman — Mental Health Deputy of the Year
🏆 Clinician JD — Mental Health Professional of the Year
MHRT is a unique collaboration between a law enforcement partner and a clinical professional from LifeWorks NW responding to people in crisis. Together, they help de-escalate situations, connect individuals with resources, and, when possible, divert people from jail or the hospital while meeting them where they are.
For 15 years, MHRT has provided compassionate, impactful service to our community. During Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re proud to recognize Deputy Guzman, Clinician JD, and all MHRT for their dedication to supporting some of our community’s most vulnerable members. 💚
