Good Morning DDSC Players & Families!

Fall registration is now open as of today, June 1st. Please register at ddsoccer.org under "Registration." Below is a list of important Fall 2024 soccer information and details to help guide you in this upcoming season:
The most up-to-date information is posted on the home page of our website, ddsoccer.org.

A Coach/Parent "Family Meeting" will be in mid-August.

Shortly after teams are formed you will receive a Team Welcome letter that will share your specific team's expectations for the season from your Coach. This letter includes practice day, time, and location and how to best communicate with your Coach.

Practices are in the evenings at a David Douglas School District field. Twice a week for 3rd through 8th grade players; Once a week for our Micro Pre-Kindergarten/Kindergarten through 2nd grade players.

Practices for 3rd-8th grade teams may start the week of Monday, August 19th and run through the end of October.

Practices for Micro Pre-Kindergarten through 2nd grade teams start Wednesday, September 4th and run through the end of October.

Games are September through the end of October. (No game on Labor Day weekend.) In early November, Portland Youth Soccer Association (PYSA) provides an optional tournament opportunity for any of our interested 3rd through 8th grade teams.

3rd grade through 8th grade play Saturday games in the Portland area. Game schedules will be posted under "Team Schedules" by the end of August.

Micro Pre-Kindergarten through 2nd grade teams play Sunday afternoon intra-league games at Cherry Park School. (No game on Labor Day weekend.) Micro game schedules will be posted under "Team Schedules" by the end of August.

Micro Pre-Kindergarten through 2nd grade registration fees are $80.

3rd through 8th grade registration fees are $110.

A $10 late registration fee applies after registration closes July 31st.

Scholarships are available.

New uniform kits are $41. Each uniform kit includes a black jersey, red jersey, blacks shorts, and black socks. Ordered uniform kits will be delivered to you by the first game of the season. All players must wear a DDSC uniform at games. Used uniforms may be available.

Used uniforms and soccer gear are encouraged. DDSC is in need of more used uniforms and size 1-3 cleats. Contact DDSC Used Equipment Coordinator at [email protected] for donations and/or questions.

DDSC is teaming up with David Douglas High School this year to put on another fun, interactive, low-cost Summer Camp! It will be on Monday, August 12th through Thursday, August 15th from 6pm-8pm at DDHS Palermini Stadium Field (1500 SE 130th Ave. Portland, OR 97233). Cost is $35 per player. Click HERE to register.
Lastly, DDSC needs you! DDSC runs as a Volunteer organization. We are asking for Parents/Adults to step into Volunteer roles that includes on the field Coach and off the field Board positions and coordinators. Please contact [email protected] to be involved in any of these ways!

Happy Summer DDSC Families!

Here's a friendly reminder that Fall Registration closes this Monday, July 31st. Please check out ddsoccer.org for more information on how to register your child as a player as well as the coaching and team manager opportunities for you! We do take in consideration Coach and Friend requests, so please submit them under "Coach Request."

Interested in Coaching?! DDSC is invited to participate in a FREE Coaching Clinic through OYSA (Oregon Youth Soccer Association). Please let us know if you are interested in participating in the free coaching clinics on 8/15. We will be hosting OYSA Coaching Trainers at Parkrose High School from 5:30pm-6:15pm for a 7v7 Coaching Clinic and 6:30pm-7:15pm 9v9 Coaching Clinic. You are welcome to attend no matter what level you coach at (even if you coach above or below these levels, you will find valuable tips!). Please let us know here if you’d like to attend HERE!

Also, DDHS Soccer Camps are offering two camps this year in the evenings at the DDHS Palermini Stadium field. One for Middle and High School students the week of July 31-August 3, and another for students entering K-5 this fall August 7-10. Check out more detailed information here!

Lastly, please donate your used uniforms and gear. DDSC will be collecting used uniforms and gear during the summer camps as well as during the DDSC Coach/Parent Informational meeting in early August.

DDSC Families -

We know that kids outgrow their gear so quickly, items can be costly to replace and then you have one more thing to donate when they outgrow them. Jess Giannettino, a parent and coach has offered to host an ongoing gear swap to make replacing and sharing cleats, jersey, shorts and socks easier for everyone. The club has lots of cleats already (we'd still take more!), but we do need shin guards, socks, jerseys and shorts. You can access the gear swap form here. The instructions are also found in the sheet, but here's how it will work:

Hi There! Thanks for using the DDSC Gear Swap. Feel free to take what you need. Instructions: To pick up gear, find the item(s) you'd like, text Jess at (618) 694-8082 to arrange pickup at her house in Cherry Park. Once picked up, please remove the item(s) you got from the swap. For Donations: Please add the items you're donating to the spreadsheet under the correct tab and drop off at 2005 SE 97th Ave.
