Press Release
POST FALLS POLICE ARREST MAN FOR PRODUCTION
OF CHILD PO*******HY
POST FALLS, IDAHO – On January 25th, 2023, the Post Falls Police Department arrested Kevin Ronald Richmond, a 61-year-old male of Post Falls, for federal child po*******hy production violations. The US Secret Service, the US Marshal’s Service, Homeland Security Investigations, the Moscow Police Department, and the Idaho Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit assisted with the investigation and arrest. Mr. Richmond was taken into custody without incident.
The investigation was initiated in response to numerous Cyber Tips filed with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that had been reported by an electronic service provider. It is alleged that Mr. Richmond was saving child po*******hy in cloud storage.
At the time of the arrest, a search warrant was conducted at Mr. Richmond’s Post Falls residence on Iron Horse Cir. Mr. Richmond’s digital devices were collected as evidence and they have been submitted to the Post Falls Police Department Digital Forensics Lab for in-depth analysis, as authorized by a search warrant. If more illegal files are located, further charges may be added at a future date.
It is important to note that an arrest is not a conviction and Mr. Richmond is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
This investigation has been supported by the Post Falls Police Department’s memberships in the US Secret Service Cyber Fraud Task Force and the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. The Post Falls Police Department actively investigates child po*******hy offenders and if you have any information about persons involved in child exploitation, please contact the PFPD or file a Cyber Tip with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at www.ncmec.org.

Today is Law Enforcement appreciation day and thank each of you for everything you do. In honor of this day, C.O.P.S. is partnering with local agencies across the nation to conduct blood drives to help our community. As of last Monday, we locally just went into Emergency need for blood. This means we have LESS than 1 day supply of blood for all 30+ hospitals in our area.
Locally 30% of our blood goes to cancer patients and 15% to heart patients. If we continue to be at this emergency status elective surgeries and some treatments may be delayed or postponed until we do have enough blood. When we put blood drives on the books, we are telling the hospitals that we have X amount coming in on this day or for this week. They then schedule surgeries, and treatments around those numbers. If we fall short on our count that directly impacts the patient.
So, if you haven’t already, please consider donating to the cause. It only takes approximately an hour start to finish to complete the donation. If you’re willing to do so, you can walk into the Community Service room, and they will get you set up or scan the QR code on the flyer and schedule a time that works for you. Thank you for everything you do and your help with this.
