Postville Ag Ed / FFA Chapter

Our members are ready for day 1 of the Iowa FFA State Leadership Conference! Last night we arrived in Ames and had a great dinner at Hickory Park! This morning we are excited to cheer on Olivia in the Iowa FFA Talent Competition starting at 9:00 AM! Tune in to watch Olivia at approximately 10:24! See link below:

We are so excited for the Iowa FFA State Leadership Conference, April 19-21! Congratulations to two of our members who will share their musical talents at SLC!

Olivia Enyart has been selected to perform an original song she wrote in the Iowa FFA Talent competition on Monday, April 20! She will perform at approximately 10:24 AM on that day.

Toryn Timp has been selected to perform in the Iowa FFA Band for the second year in a row! Toryn, along with the rest of the Iowa FFA Band will perform on Tuesday, April 21 during the 3rd and 4th General Sessions.

Congratulations to these two members for their dedication to their talents and we wish them the best of luck at the Iowa FFA SLC!

Our chapter kicked off National FFA Week with Sub-District Leadership Development Events at Starmont today! 13 FFA members competed in 6 LDEs! Isabelle White (Public Speaking) and Madelyn Connell & Toryn Timp (Chapter Program) advanced to Districts March 7 at East Buchanan! Congratulations to all of our members for their hard work!

On Wednesday, five Postville FFA members' applications for the prestigious Iowa FFA Degree were approved! The Iowa FFA Degree is the highest honor a member can receive in the Iowa FFA Association. Less than 5% of FFA members in the state earn this degree. These FFA members will be awarded their Iowa FFA Degrees in April at the Iowa FFA State Leadership Conference!

Also on Wednesday, two Postville FFA members interviewed before the District Nominating Committee for spots on the Northeast District Officer Team ballot. We are extremely proud of Isabelle White and Isabella Koenig for pursuing this opportunity to grow as leaders!
