Tiffinie has spent the majority of her direct care experience with infants and toddlers since 1999. She had the honor of learning how to start up and maintain an infant center from glorious mentors through the Child Care Council of Dutchess and Putnam counties in 2007. Tiffinie earned her BA in Human Development through Empire State University, but knew she wanted to learn more about how the roles of family dynamics and caregivers affect a child’s well-being and learning style. In 2017, she graduated from CUNY Graduate Center with a MALS in Work and Family Psychology. Applying accumulated knowledge of early childhood developmental studies to this area has allowed her to gain deeper understanding of diverse family belief systems along with learning and behavior patterns. Tiffinie has worked as a program supervisor for an early education center in Dutchess County where she had the experience of assisting teachers with preparing the classrooms for earning their Quality Stars which provided such deep hands on
education in the field that she will take with her wherever she goes. It is such an honor for her to be part of The Child Care Council community and see how her studies have come full circle! As an infant toddler specialist, Tiffinie will be able to assist providers with suggestions for room arrangement and quality materials, training, and technical assistance for new and experienced teaching staff, offer assistance in preventative behavioral strategies, and conduct quality assessments and the Caring Spaces Endorsement.

Ashley has been working in the Child Care field for over 15 years. She began her journey in childcare as an assistant in a Family Childcare program and spent many years as an Infant- Toddler Lead teacher in a Child Care Center. After completing her degree in Child and Adolescent Psychology, Ashley transitioned into her current role as the Ulster County Infant and Toddler Specialist at Child Care Connections (A program of Family of Woodstock, Inc.). Along
with providing professional development and support to many local childcare programs, Ashley has extended her services into the community by recently starting an Infant and Toddler Play group. The IT Play group meets once a week at local parks and has a
heavy focus on learning through exploration and play. Ashley also creates and distributes a monthly Newsletter that addresses many different needs and concerns of Families that have been
brought to her attention through her work. Being a Mom of 3 children as well as a fierce advocate for childcare, Ashley has a deep passion for supporting the social-emotional well-being of children as well as the emotional well-being of their care-givers. She believes that she has found her calling through her work as part of the Infant and Toddler Resource Network and would love to tell everyone more about it!
