I just finished by Corrective Exercise Specialist Certification!

I've spent a lot of years learning. And I suppose, I'm not done yet.

After years of thinking about getting my masters, I am finally took the step and enrolled to earn my Masters in Science in Fitness and Wellness Leadership at SUNY Plattsburgh.

I've always loved learning. The more I understand about strength, aging, and helping people move well, the better coach I become.

So here's to another chapter.
Backpacks, books, homework, zoom sessions, PowerPoints ...and probably more than a little caffeine. 😊

Every course I’ve taken, every certification I’ve earned, every book I read, and every lecture I sit through is another way I can become a better coach for the people who trust me with their health.

Learning never really ends. I hope it never does.

Your body was never meant to make your world smaller.

It was meant to help you explore it.

To travel. To garden. To dance.

To climb the stairs without worrying.

To get down on the floor and back up again.

To say yes when life invites you somewhere.

That's why I believe strength training has less to do with lifting dumbbells.....and a lot more to do with living your active LIFE

Your world gets bigger when your body feels stronger.

There is something about early summer that naturally feels like movement and momentum.

Longer days.
Warmer air.
More sunlight.

More reasons to head outside for a little while.

And Gen Xers... please tell me my family is not the only family to mmediately starts singing:
“Are you ready for the summer? Are you ready for the sunshine?” with the North Star Kid’s Chorus — Thank you, Meatballs. 😂

Walking doesn’t have to become a major fitness plan to support your health and wellness, although it very well could!

A short walk after dinner counts.
One lap around the block counts.
A walk around the dining room table
A walk with a friend counts.
Five minutes absolutely counts.

Small, steady actions shape how we feel in both our bodies and our minds.
