**Our Mid Hudson Works family needs your support.**
One of our long‑term team members is facing an unimaginable tragedy. Their daughter and her family lost their entire home—and one of their vehicles—to a devastating house fire. In moments, everything they owned was gone.
As a community rooted in compassion and dignity, we are coming together to support them as they begin the long process of rebuilding.
They are in immediate need of gift cards, toiletries, and other essential daily‑use items. The family also has two small children (ages 3 and 6) who lost all of their belongings, so new or very gently used toys would be a tremendous help.
All donations can be dropped off at: Ask for Laura Kiesbye

If you feel moved to contribute, please know that Mid Hudson Works would be deeply grateful for any support you can offer. Every act of kindness—big or small—will make a meaningful difference for this family during an incredibly difficult time. Let's show this family that they are not alone.
Thank you for showing up for our community when it matters most. 💛 Thankfully, everyone is safe.

The first four months of the year have brought tremendous momentum to Mid-Hudson Works, and I’m grateful to share just how much our community has helped make this possible.
We have received generous support from Central Hudson, Ulster Savings, Dyson Foundation, Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley, Walmart, and several private donors and foundations. Their investment strengthens our mission and expands opportunities for the individuals we serve. It has also allowed us to make necessary facility improvements that strengthen our training infrastructure and capabilities.
This season has also welcomed several new business partners whose work has directly grown staff capacity and created meaningful workforce development opportunities. SKWOL, Sophie Lou Jacobsen, and Loopy Mango have each brought a wealth of new projects, helping us build pathways for emerging talent and expanding our role in the co-packing industry. These partnerships are creating new jobs, new skills, and new possibilities for our participants.
Thank you for being part of a community that believes in people, purpose, and the power of meaningful work. The Hudson Valley is truly a great place to live, work, and support through our mission’s work.
Teamwork truly does make the dream work — and today, Mid‑Hudson Works is feeling especially grateful.
We’d like to give a huge shout‑out to two wonderful volunteers, Gwen and Eddie from the Poughkeepsie Elks Lodge 275 Veterans Committee, who spent their Monday with us - lending their time, energy, and heart

We are so happy for Ryan Law for making his dream a reality with Freedom Fighters Pretzels. Watching someone turn passion into purpose is always inspiring — and Ryan’s story is exactly that.
Great story. Great person. Great product. Great cause.
This journey has all the components of success and was created for all the right reasons.
Ryan, we’re cheering you on and hope to see you at the workshop soon. The Hudson Valley is lucky to have makers like you who lead with heart and mission.
