🔍 What do roof inspection markings mean?

Inspectors use these symbols to document damage and assist with insurance claims:

🔵 H (Hail) – Hail impact on shingles.
🟡 W (Wind) – Wind damage, lifted or missing shingles.
🔴 X – Severe wear or hail damage.
🟢 C (Cracked) – Cracked shingles.
🔵 L (Lifted) – Shingles partially lifted by wind.
🟡 P (Pit) – Small dents from hail.
🔴 R (Replace) – Needs replacement.
🟢 # (Counted Area) – Hail hits in a 10x10 ft section.
🟡 SF (Soft Feel) – Weak or moisture-damaged areas.
