Cinco de Mayo is Sunday and I have plenty of treasurers in my booth at the Powell Liberty Antique Mall that you may need for your party. The beautiful Mexican glass pitcher and matching glasses would be perfect to hold your special margaritas or you could use the drink dispenser when you mix up your favorite sangria recipe for your guests. I also have several melamine confetti bowls you can use to brighten up your table. Last but not least, I have plenty of white serving pieces that always makes a beautiful table.

If you are in Powell please stop in the mall and check out all the goodies I have for sale.

For those of you who know me I am sure you realize how much I love white dishes and that I have a true love for soup tureens. I have always told you that a tureen is not just for serving soup. It is just another porringer that can be used many different ways.

Probably the most obvious way is to simply use it as a large serving bowl for family gatherings. However if you really want to have a beautiful centerpiece on your table or buffet I am attaching a photo that speaks for itself. It is simple elegance at it best. Easy decorating would be to simply use the tureen as shown as your centerpiece. If you want to really upgrade your decorating to impress your family and friends you could easily place the tureen on a silver tray and add a little more holly around the base.

This Sunday from 9:00-4:00 is the September Powell Street Market. The antique mall will be open during those same hours and my booth is full of wonderful treasures to make both your fall decorating and your fall entertainment spectacular. The forecast for Sunday is a high of 78 degrees with no rain. It will be a perfect day to visit Powell and check out booth.

Since summer is officially here it is time to sit back and enjoy life. At our house we enjoy these beautiful afternoons by sitting on our front porch, reading a good book and having an afternoon libation. The first picture is my summer favorite drink which is lavender lemonade with fresh lavender from my garden.

If you stop in my booth at the Powell Liberty Antique Mall you will see several items that are perfect for your summer entertainment. Why eat off of paper plates when you can just as easily use Corelle or enamel? They both last for years and actually can save you money over time. Keep your drink cool by using a ceramic dispenser and add a centerpiece of artificial lavender in a galvanized carrier. Life and summer are both short so take time to enjoy them both.

If you have not been in the Powell Liberty Antique Mall recently it is time to check out some new items I have for sale. Those of you who are familiar with my booth probably know there are certain things I personally like so of course I always have them for sale. White dishes are number one on the list. Fact is food looks more appetizing on a white plate. I also have a love of soup tureens and in addition to using them for serving soup they can be the base for a beautiful centerpiece for your table.

Easter will be here in a couple of weeks so if you need any home decor items to freshen up your home please stop in and check out my booth.

Remember tomorrow is the last street market of the year. While you are checking out the street vendors do not forget to visit the Powell Liberty Antique Mall. For those of you who have not shopped the antique mall I can assure you it is more than your grandmother’s attic.

It is the time of year to start thinking about refreshing the inside of your home for the fall/winter and I have many treasures in my booth just waiting to go to their forever home.

Finally the snow has melted and I can see my spring flowers start to pop up their heads. When that happens it always tells me it is time to get some new items into my booth at the mall. Easter will be here before we realize it and shortly after that it will be time to open our patios and start planning picnic menus. It is also a good time to look around our homes and bring in some different home decor items. Just like getting out your spring/summer clothes your house needs to get a fresh clean look.
