Every Earth Day we are remind of how awesome and environmentally friendly our producers are. They vineyards at Gundlach Bundschu, pictured here, are a great example. In 2023 they became the first Sonoma winery to be Regenerative Organic Certified. Katie Bundschu joined us recently to go deep on regenerative farming. They are just one of many, many wineries that we represent who are doing the right thing - farming with care and avoiding synthetic chemicals.

Joan and Walt Flowers took a gamble when they bought a rugged piece of land, high above the Pacific Ocean near Jenner, the Sonoma hamlet where the Russian River spills into the Pacific Ocean. 🌊 🗻 At the time, the viability of the extreme Sonoma Coast was still up for debate. Could land so cold and windswept consistently ripen Pinot and Chardonnay?

Today, we know the answer is yes, but barely. Flowers and a few others crafted a new vision of what Burgundian varieties could achieve in California. 🪻 Winemaker Chantal Forthun reveals the unique terroir by doing the least amount possible. The vineyards are farmed organically, fermentations are all native, and the estate wines are unfined and unfiltered. The alcohols are naturally low.

If you have customers who love Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, these wines are not to be missed~
