They are stunning!!! One hatched from a heavy Bloom and one hatched from a darker egg.

After taking this season semi “off” it made it easier to decide to continue to downsize and slow down. I will keep a couple very small flocks (my top breeders only) and continue our hatch from home.

I will still be filling all pre orders Lord willing between now and late Sept (the 2026 season) before selling off any more stock.
So please don’t message me about adults yet lol.

Whew it has been a doozy getting things in working order this season.

The water color eggers have fertility. I have successfully for the time being broken the broody hens and they are laying again!

I “thought” I was going to know which eggs were new each day and which were the hens nest she’s been on. However the last couple days some how we were still pulling eggs with developing chicks in them.

So today we moved everybody but her out of the pen. They moved to a new own and the other couple hens fe joined the flock. It will take a few days maybe a week for everyone to get  acclimated to their new place, new box etc and then I will run another fertility test or two and start filling egg orders and shipping for the season.

These eggs are to start filling pre orders. No current availability to request from however there will likely be extras!

I am down a machine so I’m literally using any cheap machine I can find laying around.

But we are finally under way and will be able to working on pre orders the next few weeks.

We have two hatch from home hatches that will be coming back to us in about 2-3 weeks. See my previous post for the eggs that went out. You can claim chicks from those hatches now. I deeply discount those groups! Good opportunity.

💜water color egger update:
We do have some fertility in the pen! However it’s been raining here and cold for like two weeks and I have broody hens in the pen that I couldn’t deal with yet.

I candled one of the hens eggs and there are chicks. I think I’m going to leave her to hatch fro me. (I think)

I removed the other broody hens to a pen without a nest and will start doing ice baths as often as I can until we break them. However it will take a little while for them to lay again and see fertility pick up. However we are heading in the right direction. And I have enough hens that I probably will be able to get started on local orders soon!!!! 💜 by then hopefully we will have those other few back on board. Up date soon!
