CONGRATULATIONS! 🎉to our Fall 2025 - Spring 2026 CORE Award Recipients! The award was given to one player on each of our original 2025 teams. The awardees were chosen for the exhibiting the highest ex*****on of our CORE values of Commitment, Ownership, Respect and Effort within their teams. While many of our players were in contention, and all of our players are consistently following our CORE values, these players rose to the top. The awards were given to 11U Commanders player - Cameron Scott, 11U Generals player - Hudson Davis (Not pictured), 9U Rangers player - Maddox Morey, 8u Recruits player - Easton Wills, and 8U Cannons player - Tucker Wellman. Congrats boys, we are proud of you! The night was also spent welcoming our newest 60+ families that will help comprise the 11 Core teams playing in the Fall. All the families, new and old, were able to relax, unwind, listen to the AMAZING live music of Michael Bergamo, eat great pizza from River City Wood Fire, have the best Italian ice in town from River City Sunset Slush and have some fun before things get busy in a couple weeks. Congrats to our recognized players and welcome to our newest families! 🩵⚾️

🍊💪🏼 First Time Core Crusher Alert 💪🏼🍊 A big congrats to 11U Core Commanders player, Landon Marotta, for hitting his first over the fence home run! This one was a memorable one too, as Landon crushed a moon shot over the 30’ left field monster at the Ark Complex. As an organization that cares about the little things, we are also proud of how he handled this big hit. Head down in a hard 90 to first base before realizing it was over. 🩵 (Watch the video). Landon has also started the tradition of Core buying a steak dinner for all first time inductees to the Core Crusher Club! (Previous inductees will be back compensated 😂) Congrats Landon! We are proud of you and your hard work, kid! 🩵⚾️💪🏼

Happy Father Day to all the dads, granddads, great granddads, step dads, and dad figures that make this world go round. Especially the ones that support our organization, day in and day out. Also, a very special shout out to those dads that take it the extra mile to coach and mentor these young players. You are a special group and this world youth baseball simply would not be possible without you! Thank you and be celebrated today! 🩵⚾️

Tryout week was intense! But the best break in the week was seeing future Core player, Liam, who showed up in full uniform for his big brother’s tryout. He took all the spotlight and brought a smile to all of the families faced. A few more years kid…. We can’t wait to have you on the field! 🩵⚾️

CONGRATULATIONS to our 8U Core Cannons for beating all of the odds and taking USSSA’s 9U Extra Innings Flight 2 Silver Bracket Championship!! 🏆 These boys showed grit, strength and perseverance well beyond their years. They are a team of 7U and 8U players playing up with the big boys at 9U. They have been battle hardened all year and deserved every moment of their first championship. They went 2-1 on the day and won the championship by a formidable 7 runs. A shout out needs to be given to these Cannon coaches. Not only do they play up a level in these tournaments, but they play by a different set of rules. Core uses strict pitching guidelines that restricts these young pitchers to not starting a new batter after 50 pitches. Their 9U opponents get 75 pitches or more depending on what rules they follow. These coaches sewed together a championship with without violating a single pitch against our policy. I guess it helps when their pitchers averaged 62% strikes on the day and had an unbelievable 19 strikeouts! Congrats Cannons, you boys fought hard for this well deserved championship. Another first was happening in Core as the 10U Raiders played in their first ever tournament. They showed big hearts and clear determination after going down 15 runs in their first inning. They didn’t let it get to them and out scored their opponents 12-7 the rest of the day. They didn’t get their first tournament win, but they proved they are ready to start the fight! The 11U Generals earned the right to play in the upper bracket last weekend and had a tough draw. They made a close game in game 1 against a team that blew them out earlier this season and then held it very close against the eventual tournament champion. They have shown again and again this year the incredible gains they have made since the fall. On to another big weekend with Core teams playing all aver the place. Congrats on a great weekend last weekend and good luck to all the Core teams playing this weekend! 🩵⚾️

It was an unexpected, but amazing weekend of baseball for our mixed 8U and 9U Core Valor team, who took runner-up in the 2-day Ark Complex God, Country and Baseball Memorial Day Tournament! With just a few days notice and no practice together, these boys from 3 different Core teams hit the field with some serious passion. They went 3-1 on the weekend and showed tremendous stats in all corners of the game. They scored a staggering 51 runs on 43 hits. They were lead offensively by 8U Cannons player Liam Thompson who hit .875, had 7 hits and a .909 OBP. 9U Rangers players Maddox Morey and Emmett Birkitt also added offensive excitement, both hitting their first over the fence home runs. Pitching was dominant by all of the Core pitchers comprised of all 3 Core teams. They were lead by tournament MVP, Maddox Morey who struck out 11 of the 16 batters he faced and gave up ZERO hits. 11 talented young men took the field this weekend and made our organization proud while never losing touch with the deep meaning of this weekends celebration of our fallen.
