NoCo Community Kitchen
NoCo Community Kitchen is a licensed commissary kitchen serving local food producers and food makers.
Got a food business idea? Let’s get it started.
If you’ve been thinking about turning your recipe into something real, the first step is probably easier than you think. Before the Yavapai County Department of Health can issue your food license, they’ll ask for a commissary agreement. All that means is you have a licensed professional kitchen where you plan to prepare your food.
And that is exactly what we do here at NoCo Community Kitchen.
We are a shared-use commercial kitchen in downtown Prescott, operated by Prescott Farmers Market. Bakers, spice makers, caterers, food truck operators, you name it. If you are making food and need a licensed space to do it, this is the place.
Here is the best part: signing your commissary agreement costs you nothing. No fees, no commitment. It is just the thing that gets the ball rolling so you can move forward with your food license. (AND we’ll even help you walk through the steps to getting licensed.)
Send us an email at [email protected] or fill out the interest form linked in our bio. We’ll set up a time for you to come see the kitchen, ask questions, and get your agreement signed. Easy as that.
This is part one of a series on starting a food business in Yavapai County. Stick around so you do not miss the next step.

Spreading yourself thin across farmers markets, online sales, showing up on social media, AND knocking on doors?
Pick one. Master it. Then expand.
Trying to do everything means:
→ Split focus = mediocre results everywhere
→ Higher costs across multiple platforms
→ Constant context-switching that drains your energy
→ No single channel performing at full potential
Instead, identify your strongest revenue source and double down:
Farmers markets? Perfect your booth setup, expand your product line, build customer loyalty, increase your per-customer sale.
Online sales? Optimize your website, streamline fulfillment, master your shipping process, build your email automation.
Social media? Create a consistent posting schedule, engage authentically with your audience, develop content that converts followers into customers, track what actually drives sales.
Wholesale/door-knocking? Develop consistent production capacity, create professional sales materials, build relationships with 3-5 anchor accounts before chasing dozens.
Do one thing exceptionally well and watch your revenue grow. A mediocre presence everywhere earns you nothing. Excellence in one channel pays the bills.
Once that channel is humming and profitable? THEN add the next.
Where are you focusing your energy this year? Share in the comments.
