At PCDI, we often speak about creating meaningful and lasting change in the lives of individuals and families impacted by autism. Few people embody that mission more completely than Joyce MacDuff. For more than four decades, she has transformed the lives of students and families through her expertise, creativity, and boundless dedication to each individual and their capacity to learn.

After 42 years, Joyce is retiring.

Since joining PCDI in 1984, she has touched nearly every corner of our organization – from our group homes to our classrooms, to the creation of our early intervention program. It is impossible to count the number of words spoken in this world because of Joyce. Impossible to count the needs met, the relationships built, and the opportunities created because she saw each child's potential, and the path to help them achieve it.

Her legacy is reflected not only in the achievements of the learners she taught, but in the generations of educators she mentored, cultivating the same level of excellence and commitment to learners that she modeled every day.

Thank you, Joyce, for 42 extraordinary years of leadership, mentorship, and unwavering belief in our students. We can think of no better way to honor your legacy, than to carry it forward.
