ETS Summer Oceanography Camp Recap

Day 3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Live interaction with the EV Nautilus, connecting to the ship (which was off the coast of CA) from the Inner Space Center at URI-GSO.  Students heard from the Ocean Exploration Trust’s Megan Cook, who summarizes current expedition activities and answered a variety of questions from the group.

Day 4⭐️⭐️⭐️

ETS students explored Fort Getty Park salt marsh.

ETS students engaged in a week-long, day camp program with URI’s Inner Space Center. Students participated in hands-on activities, demonstrations, and field investigations to explore the dynamic properties of the global ocean, the animals that live within it, and the tools and technologies used for ocean exploration. Students also connect with ocean scientists and engineers to learn more about the diversity of ocean careers.

Join us throughout the months of June, July and August as we host workshops on your most requested workshop topics.

ETS students who participate will receive a stipend at the end of the program. Each workshop is worth a specific $$$ amount so be sure to sign up for as many as you like.
