Is this a Healthcare issue? Or a Doctors issue?
EDIT: to clear something up for people - antibiotics treat a flareup of my autoimmune disease, it *does not cure it*. To put it simply, the way PANDAS works Is that anytime I am exposed to the Streptococcus (which *normally* causes Strep Throat), instead of my immune system attacking the infection, it starts attacking my brain, causing inflammation.

As you can imagine, inflammation of the brain is incredibly dangerous, and going for long periods without treatment could be severely detrimental to my health.

In this case, Treatment ≠ Cure

It’s called “P.A.N.D.A.S.” btw, and the treatment is
*🥁drum roll🥁* Antibiotics.
That’s it.
It shouldn’t have been this hard, and I’m so lucky I have in my corner. I’d be lost in this cycle if I didn’t.
Nowhere near out of the woods, and I still need to be prescribed the treatment, but we’re one step closer.
