Over the last two days, Día de Los Mu***os 💀🎉🕯️ , a blend of pre-Hispanic religious traditions and Christian observances, was commemorated. This holiday is marked by vibrant parades, joyful gatherings, music, dancing, and the creation of offerings to honor departed loved ones and commemorate their lives. It spans a two-day period, commencing on November 1st and concluding on November 2nd. ❤️

The holiday originated thousand years ago with the Aztec, Toltec, and other Nahua people, who considered mourning the dead disrespectful. For these pre-Hispanic cultures, death was a natural phase in life’s continuum. The dead were still members of the community, kept alive in memory and spirit—and during Día de Los Mu***os, they temporarily returned to Earth. ***os #ΣΛΥ

Today, we celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day! This historic year signifies the first official recognition of this day by a U.S. president. It's a shift away from Christopher Columbus Day and an opportunity to honor and celebrate the rich Indigenous communities who have called this land home for centuries. Let's make it a daily commitment to honor those who paved the way and their vibrant cultures. Indigenous communities still confront daily challenges, and it's vital to stay informed about their histories and cultures. 💛 #ΣΛΥ
