🌍 Running Cleaner and Greener!

We love taking you through Rhode Island's most iconic coastal landscapes, and with that privilege comes a deep responsibility to protect our environment.

That’s why we are thrilled to officially expand our partnership with 11th Hour Racing, making them the Official Sustainability Partner for the Ocean State Rhode Races! Together, we are pushing toward our ultimate goal of becoming a Zero Waste event.

Here’s a quick look at how we’re going green this year and how YOU can help:

💙 Reusable Cups on Course: We’re partnering with Hiccup Earth! Reusable silicone cups will replace single-use cups at aid stations. Just toss them into the designated black bins so they can be washed and reused!
🚫 Zero-Litter Policy: Littering is strictly prohibited (especially those plastic gel packets!). Five-gallon buckets will be at every single mile marker, plus trash cans at aid stations. Please note: Littering will result in immediate disqualification.
💧 Sustainable Finish Line: No single-use plastic bottles here! We use sustainable canned Open Water at the Finish Line festival. Please recycle your empty cans in the designated festival bins.
👕 Clothing Collection: Discarded clothes at the start line will be collected by Epic Renewal and donated to local organizations.
🏃‍♀️ Join the Plogging Team! Want to jog while picking up litter to keep our coast clean? We need volunteer ploggers!
