When the cost of filters and fit testing is included, Air3 is more affordable than conventional negative pressure respirators.
Many devices built overseas don't meet filtration required by NIOSH. Although these may be used at home, OSHA prohibits their use in industry.

If you're considering a powered respirator, get a NIOSH approved respirator like MicroClimate Air3. Its filtration performance is excellent.
