Artist Statement: Casa Tabarelli, designed by architects Carlo Scarpa and assistant architect Sergio Los in 1967 was originally intended as a home for their client, Laura Tabarelli de Fatis. She wished to live in the countryside and reside in an isolated, spacious house, surrounded by nature. As well-known furniture designers, the Taberellis understood the value of Scarpa's eye for designing with color, line, nature and material. As my favorite architect, I've noted the colors found in the paint and shadow and light from this inspiring residence.
