Today is my birthday!!!! And I would like to share a few words.

I don’t need to tell you how fast life goes by.

I don’t need to tell you that you should document your life.

And I certainly don’t need to tell you that your love is meant to be celebrated.

But, I do need to tell you that you deserve to have your love documented to commemorate whatever season of life you are in together—the beautiful, the messy, the challenging. You only get one chance to document THIS time in your life right now, so take advantage of that. Embrace it. Allow yourself to have your love documented and story told for yourselves and those that come after you.

It was so easy to see how aligned Summer and Gus are. Just being with them, I could feel their magnetic love for each other.

They met in guitar quartet practice, started off as friends, and then it grew into a beautiful relationship.

We had a beautiful time wandering around the red rocks, following dirt paths, and documenting their love story.

I can’t wait to document their big day next year🫶

We are constantly fed/see so much information on social media and I think it can be exhausting, right?!😴🫣😣

People are sharing their opinions on things, others are going on the vacation you only wish you could afford, and you feel a constant pressure to fulfill expectations for yourself that you know are not even realistic at the moment.

Regardless of whose life is being lived, everyone has hard days, hard months, or even hard years. To you, others’ lives may seem perfect. They may look happily married, or purchasing a brand new home, or have the perfect “skinny” body. However, not everyone’s lives are as perfect as they may seem on the internet. Everyone has junk they carry with them—whether that be mental illnesses, financial struggles, family problems, health issues, fertility problems, etc.

I guess all I really want to say is that life isn’t as perfect as we make it out to be online. Life has crappy parts, yet beautiful parts. My wish for you is to give yourself GRACE for the season of life you are in. Put on an extra few pounds, who cares? Struggling to get pregnant? My prayers go out to you. Don’t feel comfy in front of the camera? That’s okay, just give yourself grace and don’t try to solve all of your problems at once. You are doing the best you can and that is enough right now🤍
