Project Read

Many of our students are referred by family, friends, and trusted community organizations. This month, we're especially grateful to the Utah Department of Workforce Services for helping connect adults with the literacy support they need to reach their education, employment, and personal goals.

We're proud to partner with organizations that understand literacy changes lives. Together, we're helping more adults gain the confidence and skills they need to build brighter futures.

Over 280,000 adult in Utah read at or below a third-grade level. This means that at least one out of ten people have limited functional reading skills. Project Read seeks to eliminate adult illiteracy in Utah and, by doing so, empower individuals, strengthen families, build communities, and create new cycles of intergenerational literacy. Share this to spread awareness about adult literacy in Utah.

We are hiring for a Lab Instructor beginning July 7th. Schedule will be Tuesday-Thursday, 5:30-7:00 pm, at the Provo office. Classes include Conversation Club, Reading Lab, and Digital Skills (basic computer skills). Join the Project Read team and watch literacy change lives.
