The Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce is incredibly proud to be part of not one…not two…but THREE amazing Independence Day traditions that showcase everything we love about our community.

This is what the Chamber is all about.

When an event brings people together, supports local businesses, fills our restaurants and shops, and shines a spotlight on our incredible city, you can count us in.

Start your morning with the Freedom Swim

Beginning at 10:00 AM, hundreds of swimmers will make the iconic journey across Charlotte Harbor to Fishermen's Village. Whether you're swimming or cheering from shore, it's one of Punta Gorda's most unique and memorable traditions.

Spend the day at Fishermen's Village

Beginning at Noon, enjoy live music, shopping, food, family fun, and waterfront entertainment all day long, culminating with a spectacular 9:00 PM fireworks display over Charlotte Harbor.

Or head over to Laishley Park

Festivities begin at 3:00 PM with water slides, a kids' zone, vendors, live entertainment, food, family activities, and another incredible 9:00 PM fireworks spectacular lighting up the Punta Gorda skyline.
