Farewell, Dr. Elaine Ingham. .... A great Mother Tree has fallen in the forest.....
Abundant Earth Foundation joins people around the world in mourning the loss of a great pioneer and teacher in the Regenerative Agriculture Movement.
On February 16, the groundbreaking microbiologist, Elaine Ingham, died on Monday in Fort Mill, South Carolina, with her husband by her side.
The world is a much better place because of the many people she taught about the Soil Food Web and influenced to view soil more deeply. She taught us that our health and that of the planet depend on the health of the soil.
If you had the honor of meeting her, please share some of your stories or memories here in this post about this wonderful force of nature.
You are invited to plant a tree, make a donation to the Soil Food Web Foundation, or start composting if you don't already, in her honor.
And please read more in her obituary. https://soilfoodweb.com/obituary-for-dr-elaine-ingham/?fbclid=IwY2xjawQDVwxleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETJHWENaVFF5RXBidm40Zjhyc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHkj87MHqmC0ged3DuI3boMuj-qfwdu-Fz42Yacwapp7DXVdaG7vtxUiMLmws_aem_eKTqScZOCtSorxiOxuKung
Before we add anything, we make room.
Core aeration relieves compaction and restores airflow in the soil—an essential first step before top dressing.
Lawn health starts underground, even when it doesn’t look dramatic above ground.

We’re now a certified vendor for Babcock Ranch.
Why this matters for homeowners here:
When a landscaping change requires ARC approval—like replacing old plants and/or adding new plants, meeting native plant requirements, or installing raised garden beds—we already know how to navigate the process correctly and efficiently. That saves you time, prevents delays, and helps ensure your project is approved the first time.
If you’re thinking about making a change to your landscape or starting a food garden in a raised bed, we can help you do it beautifully, compliantly, and in alignment with Babcock Ranch’s standards—from planning to installation.
You don’t need to be a gardener to grow food.
You need healthy soil and thoughtful care.
We build garden beds, fill them with living soil, manage plant health over time, and harvest when produce is at its best—so growing food feels accessible, not intimidating.
If eating clean, nutrient-dense food matters to you, reach out and let’s talk about supporting your food-growing goals.

As we’ve shown before, soil restoration work is an iterative process. That means that the best results are achieved with ongoing care and multiple additions of soil building materials (compost & living organisms) spread over time.
Check out these two videos to gain a better understanding of what that looks like.

Because what we put on our lawns ends up on our skin, in our homes and in our bodies. This is what chemical-free care looks like - for the grass and the humans living on it.
We love living and working in Babcock Ranch. 💜
Every yard we restore is a small victory for life, sustainability, and beauty.
