Salamander Forge

Cranked out a little spike knife for a customer today. I’m not really a knife maker…but it was a fun little project. The knife is surprisingly easy to forge out. It’s all the grinding I hate!

I haven’t been in the forge much the last few months. I will be ramping up soon and will find some venues for my metal work. I did finish one of my signature pieces lately.

Just finished this little hand towel holder. Harder than it looks to make! You can see it at the Mill Haus Cider Co. in Eatonville tomorrow.

I’m not really a woodworker, but I really like making these cheese boards. This an about 20 inches long out of spalted maple.

Wrapped up a little early on Sunday because of rain, but generally a good outing at the Mill Haus. I will be there again in two weeks. People in the NW come out even in the rain, or else you would never go out!😂Proceeds from vendor fees and a small percentage of all pints of cider ordered go to charity!

Trying to get back out to the forge after a long hiatus! It’s just been so hot! Here is a branding iron I made for a client. I actually made two!

Just had a little pop up event at the Mill Haus Cider Co. in Eatonville. It was a great day of sun, beer, food and crafts! I Didn’t realize how many items I don’t have since selling out at Christmas.
