This realization fundamentally reshaped my view of leadership and success. I now work to help others lead with humanity and authenticity at the center.

Feminine leadership principles are not only vital to increase women’s engagement but also key to folks of all genders having freedom to operate in alignment and experience true belonging in the workplace.

We’re having great speakers and I’ll be moderating a discussion about workplace safety, ILO-190, and workplace culture shifts for inclusion.

ILO-190 is the first international treaty to recognize the right of everyone to a world of work free from violence and harassment, including gender-based violence and harassment.

My organization, the Inclusive Leadership Collective (ILC) is co-hosting this event with the Red Dot Foundation, an ECOSOC and DGC accredited non-profit organization at the United Nations, to bring this event to life.

ILC is an incubator for the next generation of leaders who want to rid the workplace of oppression and harm. Red Dot’s mission is making public and private spaces safer and more accessible for everyone, especially women and girls. Their app Safecity is a mobile app and platform that crowdsources personal stories of sexual harassment and abuse in public spaces globally.

This gathering is sponsored by the NGO Committee on the Status of Women (NGO CSW/NY).

Anyone else been smiling a little bit more this week? I know I have! But I’ve also had so many conversations that went like this:

Me: “Ahhhh!!! Did you see the news about Kamala?!?”

Them: “I did! I can’t believe it, I’m so glad but I’m so scared at the same time. I don’t know what to feel right now🫣”

Me: “That makes so much sense! We haven’t had much joy lately and hope can be scary.”

Them: “I don’t know what to do or say. I don’t want to say the wrong thing.”

Me: “I hear you, that’s not crazy after years of being inundated with chaos, harm and violence as the norm about when approaching the future of this country.”

Them: “I need to process all of it before I know what to do. And even then, I don’t know if I’ll have an answer. I don’t want to fall back into despair and exhaustion.”

Me: 💭 THIS is exactly why I changed my career/life path 💭

Me: “Lemme see what I can do.”
