I wrote this song one summer night while sitting on my roof at 5am

I had just gone through a breakup, and was spending a lot of time alone trying to find myself.

I was pretty bitter and playing around with this riff looking out at the Manhattan skyline. I remember thinking to myself ‘it’s crazy that so many of those lights are each a person living in New York trying to make something of themselves.’

Everybody wants to be a star, everybody’s clawing their way to the top, but they’re all stuck here in this city, and the light pollution from a place like this is so bright that you can’t see a single star in the sky.✨

Anyway, here is the second verse from this song called Ginger Cola. Been throwing a lot of these ‘second verse’ videos out here because I think people stop paying attention after the first chorus.
