Yesterday, I was grateful to visit several masjids and Eid gatherings across Jackson Heights and Woodside with Kazi for Eid al-Adha.

From Jackson Heights Islamic Center to Madani Masjid, Al Hikmah Masjid, Woodside Baitul Jannah Masjid, MUNA Center of Jackson Heights, and community prayers along Bangladesh Street, it was beautiful to see our neighbors come together in faith and community.

Thank you to every imam, volunteer, family, and neighbor who welcomed us with such warmth. Eid Mubarak to all who observed!

NYSNA nurses and healthcare professionals are on the frontlines of care across New York. This endorsement is personal to me — members of my own family are NYSNA nurses and retirees. I have stood with NYSNA on the picket line as a student activist, as a community organizer, and now in public office. I have always been proud to stand with them.

Nurses carried New York through the COVID-19 crisis. They continue to care for our families every single day. They deserve leaders who will fight with them just as hard as they fight for us.
