Inspired by iconic DJ’s like FunkMaster Flex, DJ Jazzy Jeff and DJ Clue for their representation of authenticity and success in their respective genres. Lefrak City Queens, New York native DJ Takeova picked up the art of the turntable Disc jockey to aid his roommates in the festivities they put together during off campus hours. After Long weeks and months of training as a turn-tablist, he is primed to take his career to the next level catching a break as the resident DJ for his Alma Mater Morrisville State College.

Manning the 1s and 2s for all campus events, is where Dj Takeova gained his moniker. DJ Takeova's confirmation stemmed from his handle of the party scene, his taste out of a vast library of hit records, his energy display, to crowd engagement, his pace and galvanizing crowd reactions, all made sense to why his stage name deemed fit. From the halls of Morrisville, to the stages of Old Westbury, Suffolk Community, Mansfield State as well as venues abroad such as Canada, Jamaica, Bermuda and domestically Atlanta, California, spinning at showcase events throughout NYC included but not limited to renowned venues such as Amazura, Katra, BiPolar, Mars2112, and Mansion to name a few has made Dj Takeova one of the most sought-after Dj’s in the industry.

As an undergrad at SUNY Old Westbury (2005), Dj Takeova also concentrated in radio obtaining the book knowledge and operational experience as another avenue to breaking into the music industry. DJ Takeova understood, to get real notoriety as a Disc Jockey in this business, all must have graced the top online, FM or satellite radio station either as radio personnel or a radio DJ. With that comprehension, he began the grass roots by spending two years running his college radio station and advanced his career after graduation, joining premiere online radio, Xtreme 104 fm.com and DTF radio stations. As a resident DJ to two successful shows “The Nando Hour" and “The Luck Of The Stylish”, Dj Takeova is diligently working his way up the frequency chain aiming to have a permanent slot on any one of “I Heart Radio’s” NYC stations”.

In 2011 Dj Takeova signed to an established multimedia company Brook Brovaz, as their official in-house DJ. Since then Dj Takeova has already been featured in major publication such as the Source, XXL, HipHopWeekly, ThisIs50, Coast2Coast Magazine, Black Enterprise Magazine, Giant Magazine, Straight Stuntin,The New Yorker and Dr. Jays Live. He has been featured as part of a cast in a movie that premiered in the Tribeca Film Festival and featured on MTV, VH1, and BET networks. His DJ reputation has grown vastly in the industry and now he is being booked by some of the biggest party promoters and even sought out by major corporations to spin in events such as “Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week”, Target Corporation and well known Non-For-Profit organizations charity events.
